I’m Maria Castillo Dominguez, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, entrepreneur, and advocate for women taking charge of their financial futures. My journey started in Ronda, a small town in southern Spain, where I grew up as the middle child in a humble family. I was the first in my family to pursue a college degree, and at 26, I took a leap of faith—moving to the U.S. alone with just $400 in my pocket and a heart full of dreams.
Since 2012, I’ve built a career in financial services, working with both large institutions and boutique firms, gaining invaluable experience along the way. Today, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Financial Planning Association of Miami, lead a local chapter for a national organization of seasoned law and finance professionals, and actively contribute to professional women’s networks.
I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and have spoken at esteemed institutions like the University of California. My expertise has been featured on CNBC, CNN, and CBS News, and I’ve presented at industry-leading conferences, including the Wealth Management EDGE Conference and the Financial Planning Association. My contributions to the field were also highlighted in So You Want to Be a Financial Planner, and I was honored as one of Investment News’ 40 Under 40 national young leader in the financial planning industry in 2023.
Now, after more than a decade of experience in personal financial planning, I’ve founded my own firm, Valoria Wealth Management, with a mission to help professional women design a financial plan that aligns with their ambitions and lifestyle goals.
I currently live in Cooper City, FL, with my husband, Aby, and our dog, Lola. My work is fully virtual, allowing me the flexibility to meet clients from anywhere—whether I’m at home, attending networking events with powerhouse women, or traveling the world. I’ve intentionally designed my career to support the life I want, and I’m passionate about helping other professional women do the same.
I believe in financial freedom, not just in numbers, but in the ability to create a life that feels rich in every way. My mission is to guide women in building, preserving, and sharing their wealth—on their own terms.
